Saab spoke of the word “Papa” for the first time. I was actually teaching her the m sound but I noticed she was trying to utter the p sound so we concentrated on that instead - and before we knew it, Saab’s been uttering Papa repeatedly. Mom, Lola, En, and I were surprised - and more than anything else, amazed with her developements. Before the day ended, Mom invited me to a night stroll at UPLB. It’s the first in the longest time that I got to spend real quality time with her and Lola, and with Saab. Mom was very fond of her apo that she didn’t want to take her hands off Saab. She was really happy to see her apo walking. It was also her time to bond with her first favorite apo, Ccino. Mom’s not the sporty type but she didn’t mind running around with Ccino. Came Saturday, Mom told us that she would have Saab dedicated. A pastor will be coming over by lunch time to officiate the ceremony. She also invited a few close friends. She had it all planned - the guests, the cake, the foods to be served - Bien and I were just caught in surprise. Mom’s known for surprises and this one’s just so big and special that we feel THANK YOUs are not enough to express our gratitude to her. It was a very simple, solemn ceremony that started with praise and worship and ended with prayers for Saab.
Therefore, I must say that there’s something really special about this past weekend. Let me share to you some of the best photos we had..
Mom and Lola always bring out the child in me :)
