DIY PROJECT #2: Denim shorts
Today I started with a new diy project. I've been seeing a lot of these on Pinterest so I thought of giving it a try.
I must say it's not easy. Like with this particular project - in which I preferred to use "retaso" of old clothes, I would have to do some running stitch. And since I don't have a sewing machine, I'd have to do it manually - with my bare hands.
You know one thing about DIY is to have a creative idea on how you would want your project to look like. Visualize and draw it out. Now the important thing is to at least have the basic materials needed in DIY-ing like cutter, threads, marker, studs/beads, etc. In my case, my materials are limited to scissors, black and white threads, and a few accessories that I don't use anymore.
So I've started with the back pocket by creating a pattern for it. There you have it. A glimpse of what I've been doing to keep myself busy. I really have no idea if this would turn out well but I'm taking my chances. I really wish my efforts will payoff :) I'll update you guys as soon as I finish it :)

Another first.
So today I dated my husband, not over food or movie, but over a soothing, relaxing couple massage. I actually wanted it more because I've been complaining about extreme back pain over the past couple of days. My hubby, on the other hand, was hesitant about trying it but was convinced when I told him it's going to be worth the try.
We went to this massage house in BF Homes named Zuri Spa. There are actually a lot of massage places in BF but this one has the homey-feel from the outside. They offer an hour of full body massage for P250 with a choice of Shiatsu, Swedish, Thai, or combination. I've tried Shiatsu before so I decided to have the combination for both Bien and me. Hard pressure's what I needed but I think I asked the masseuse twice to mellow down a bit only because I tend to have a low tolerance for pain on some parts of my body.
I really have nothing much more to say as I was half asleep the entire time. Our overall experience was great that Bien fell asleep and was snoring even. It really was an hour worth of remedy to my back pain and an hour worth of relaxing experience for my husband. We are definitely going to do it again :)
*Check out Zuri Spa. It's located at 25 President's Ave., BF Homes, Paranaque City (beside Bacolod Chicken House). They also do home service. For inquiries, call 842-5294.

DIY PROJECT #1: PHONE CASE
For someone who loves to "dress up" her phone, it's frustrating that when I go out to buy a case for my Blackberry phone, I have very limited options. Like plainly-boring options. I only get to choose between jelly cases, Otter replicas, and the plain sand-textured ones. See my point here is, why does it have to be unfair for Blackberry users? Why can't we have a pretty-decent pretty-classy variety of cases? So I thought of having it custom-made. I was actually inspired by my friend Tets, who started her customized mobile cases business last year. She gets her ideas from her artistic genes. I get mine from Google-ing, Pinterest-ing, and creative juices - combined altogether :)
