Of Babies, Trench Coats and Style

I’ve always been a fan of Suri Cruise. I love her style - classic, sophisticated, so right for her age. Even fashion experts say she’s the youngest best dressed out there.

When I was still pregnant with Saab, I would always tell my husband that I want our daughter to be just like Suri - not to imitate her - but to simply have the most of her childhood by dressing appropriately. I promised myself that Saab won’t be like those growing up babies who wears pink all the time.

My favorite part of the day (besides playing with her) is dressing her up. I like checking her closet from time to time, mixmatching her clothes, pairing up prints with the plain ones. I like her more in dresses. Maybe because when I was a kid, I also wear dresses - not just occasionally, but even when I’m just at home. Like Mom, I also believe that taking the time to choose and shop clothes for your child is a mother’s responsibility.

And so early today, while I was busy looking for Saab’s PJs, I happened to see this yellow Tommy Hilfiger mini trench. This may sound mababaw but I was just jumping out of joy. It’s in my shopping list (dated last December pa) to buy Saab a trench that will her suit her well. Something she could use esp. now that the rainy season has come. So I was really excited and I had her fit it right away. The result? See for yourself:) It looks good on her. The color is very refreshing. Saab’s no camera-shy so I took pictures of her right away in this yellow trench - e-mailed them to her dad and this is what he said, “ANG CUTE MAHAL KO!!!!!!!! HAHAHAHA! PASUOT NATIN NEXT TIME TAS IKAW NAKA GANUN DIN LOL.” I have a trench myself which I was able to wear when I was pregnant and I just can’t wait for the day that both us will go out in our trench♥
